I am currently on birth control. I had my period February 3rd, and started a new pack last Thursday. I took it Thursday, but I did not take it Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or today. I had unprotected sex and got ejaculated in once on Friday, twice Saturday, twice Sunday, once Monday, and once Wednesday. Last night, I was light bleeding. Could I be pregnant?

When you stop taking birth control, you may have what's called breakthrough bleeding. You basically have not been using any birth control for the past week, and in any given month a normal, healthy childbearing aged woman can expect to be 20% likely to get pregnant from frequent, unprotected sex. When you do take the pill, you are about 99% effectively protected from getting pregnant. We can't give you odds, or tell you any more than that.
If you miss your next period, you can take a pregnancy test. It takes roughly 10-14 days after conception for a fertilized egg to make the trip from the fallopian tube and implant in a uterus, so a pregnancy test would not be accurate until around that time (when you normally would expect your period). Some tests claim they can detect the pregnancy hormone up to 5 days before you expect your period, but be aware that for the most accurate results, you need to wait until you miss your period. Doctors normally recommend when you are on antibiotic for an infection, you should still take your birth control, but also use a backup method of birth control (condoms, withdrawal, spermicide, etc.) for the time you are not the medication.

I also forgot to mention, since last Thursday, I have been taking UTI Medicine and it does decresase the birth control.

Why am I bleeding though? Is there a very high risk I'm pregnant? When is it acurate to take pregnancy tests? Could I take one today ad then again if I have a missed period? -Thanks for answering questions:)

Hi Soccerpink9,
Thanks for your question and for joining EmpowHER. Taking the birth control pill is only effective if you take it everyday at roughly the same time every day. You have put yourself at increased risk for pregnancy if you didn't use any other form of birth control (condoms, spermicide, withdrawal method). You may want to give your doctor a call and see if there is a method that works better for you. You also may want to ask them if you should start over with taking the pill. Not sure if they would have other instructions for you to get you back on track since you missed so many pills. They may recommend you take two for several days, but we're not doctors, so we can't give such advice.
For more information, please review these articles: How to Make Up Missed Birth Control Pills and Oops! Missed Birth Control Pill Advocacy Sheet.
If you miss your next period, you can take a home pregnancy test, or request a pregnancy test from your doctor.
Good luck and let us know how you are doing.
