Orange flashes while blinking

I was walking outside and when I blinked my eyes, everything went bright orange. It did this every time I blinked. These symptoms stopped when I went back inside.
Sun wasn’t out. It was cloudy and snowing.

Hello. Thank you for posting.

Has this happened before? Flashes (and floaters) can be caused by an irritation or detachment of the jelly-like “vitreous” from the retina. A detachment of the innermost light-sensitive layer of the eye is the most common cause of floaters and flashes. An eye migraine can be another cause. This can produce flashing light with (or without) a headache to follow. An eye physician can tell you more.
