I have been feeling pains in my nipple, and it's so hurt. I'm not feeling cramp or whatsoever and I haven't had my period. Just my nipple. Is it infection or pregnancy. Though I used emergency contraception a day after my last sex, could it be affecting me in one way. Please help me.

Guide

Hello olaide,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for coming to us with your question.

This is neither a sign of pregnancy or an infection.

Breast tenderness is a side effect of an emergency contraceptive. If the pain persists beyond one week or worsens, please call your gynecologist.

Regards,
Maryann
