Q:

Should I take Plan B?

On the last two days of my birth control before my withdrawal bleeding, I was late taking my birth control. On Friday, I was late less than 24 hours and probably not less than 12 hours but I cannot remember. On Saturday, I was not late less than 12 hours and took it within 4 hours of my normal time. I started my withdrawal bleeding week on Sunday and started to bleed on Tuesday (like normal). I had a lighter than normal bleeding and I had unprotected sex last night where he fully came inside me.

Should I take Plan B or just continue on my birth control as normal, starting tomorrow (Sunday)? I am taking combined pills (both progestin and estrogen)

Hello. Thank you for posting.

Only you can decide to take plan b or not. If you took the pills, even if you took them late, the risk is very low. You also had your withdrawal bleeding. There is no reason to alter taking your pills as usual. If it eases your mind, speak to your doctor.
