Something's Bothering Me

Hi, I find it strange and it's bothering me. It's been more than a week that I'm coughing but I don't have sore throat. Next to my right side of my neck below my right thyroid close to my right chest I feel itchy from inside. When I even scratch the area from inside I feel discomfort. Today I cleaned my right ear with Q-tip and it made me cough a lot. My right ear feels a little stuffy. I don't have pain at all in my ear or throat. The area I feel itchy it started feeling very warm. It sounds to me like infection. I feel scared now like this and I don't know what to do. Do you think this is bad? I'm afraid I go emergency and they don't know the problem. One thing I do know for sure is my father is diabetic and few weeks ago his foot got infected and he's on medication for it ever since and generally he's not in to hygiene at all and now I'm afraid I got some type of infection from him. If I go emergency and I explain the matter like this to them would you think they would understand me? I have to make them understand because I can't let this become a problem for me. What do you think I should do? Please let me know soon.
Thanks

Hello, Melissa6666.

Thank you for posting.

The only way to know what you have is to be evaluated by a doctor. It may be an infection of some sort. Write down your symptoms and bring the paper with you if you think you can't explain it clearly or that you might forget something. I hope you feel better soon
