Unprotected sex and took pill late same night, still protected?

I take the pill and the other night we had unprotected sex. I usually take my pill at 9pm but for got and woke up at 3am and took it then. Am I still protected because technically I didn't miss it and just took it late. Do I need plan b.

Hello. Thank you for posting.

There is only a 1% chance of pregnancy with full intercourse on the pill, so your risk is very small anyway. If you take your pill regularly and on time each day (which is important to do) the risk is likely about the same with this lapse of a few hours.
