Hello, Anon!

Thank you for writing.

Ellura (as juice or in capsules) has been used in alternative medicine as a possibly effective aid in preventing symptoms such as pain or burning with urination. This medicine will not treat the bacteria that causes a bladder infection. It's not certain whether Ellura is effective in treating any medical condition. Medicinal use of this product has not been approved by the FDA. This medicine should not be used in place of medication prescribed for you by your doctor.

According to information from Healthline: D-mannose is a type of sugar that’s related to the better-known glucose. These sugars are both simple sugars in that they consist of just one molecule of sugar. Both occur naturally in your body and are also found in some plants in the form of starch. More research needs to be done on the effectiveness of D-mannose, but it appears to be a promising nutritional supplement that may be an option for some, especially in people who have frequent UTIs.

Talk with your doctor if you have an active UTI. It’s important to follow proven methods of treatment to prevent the development of a more serious infection.
