Waxing accident

Basically I waxed my upper lip about 2 days ago .

I started to feel a stinging pain only later on .. Anyway the next day I discovered there was a burn on the side of my lip
I rinsed it with cold water and have been applying coconut oil on it consistently
Is there anything I could put on it to get rid of it. It looks really bad. We have a family gathering coming up in the next few weeks and they always seem to give me negative comments. Please help.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to us for advice. Ouch!
I hesitate to offer any advice other than reach out to your primary care physician. I really think you may need to be seen by a dermatologist.

Time to put your relatives on the back burner. (No pun intended :0) You need to have the burn looked at and proper treatment to avoid scarring.

Regards,
Maryann
