What are my chances of getting pregnant if i missed one pill and made it up ASAP?

I missed one pill Thursday night, in my third week, but made it up as soon as i woke up on Friday morning. I also took my pill about 3 hours late on Saturday night, which would have been my last active pill. My boyfriend and I had sex soon after. We used a condom, but it broke. He had already went shortly before we had sex. He went inside of me not knowing the condom broke, but he barely went. What are my chances of getting pregnant?

Hi Anonymous,

Your girlfriend did exactly as recommended. I doubt she could have become pregnant by missing only one pill and then making up for it.

The only way to know is for her to take a home pregnancy test once her period is late by at least seven days.

Maryann

Hi, Im so glad I found this forum. I missed 3 pills. I went out of town and accidentally left my pills. They were my last pills of my 3rd week, and I had unprotected sex during my placebo days. No period yet. Can I be pregnant? I thought that because week 3 was so late that I wouldn't ovulate. :/ Now my period is a no show

Hello Anonymous,

There is a good chance that you are pregnant. By missing three active pills, the hormone levels that the pills provide to prevent ovulation dropped. This stimulated ovulation. So, when you had intercourse during the placebo days, a mature egg could have been released and fertilized.

Take an early response pregnancy test.

Hi i have a question. I finished my placebo week on Saturday (April 4) and i was supposed to start my new pack of pills Sunday night (April 5) at 9pm but i didn't take it until 10:30pm when I got home. I had sex that night(April 5) but the next day when I was going to take my next pill for April 6 I realized that the pill I took on April 5th was a placebo pill I had accidentally did it upside down without knowing. So I took the missed pill and April 6 pill together that night at 9pm. Is there a chance I might get pregnant since I took the wrong pill the night I had sex or am I okay since I took both pills before the 24hour mark?

Hi! I have a quick question! I usually take my birth control pill in the morning, but on Saturday I forgot to take it until the afternoon. I took my pill on Sunday at my normal time. I had unprotected sex Sunday night. Do you think forgetting on Saturday could impact my chances of getting pregnant?

Hello Anonymous,

No, I do not think so. You took Saturday's dose once you realized that you had forgotten to. You took Sunday's dose at the normal time, so intercourse that night was protected sex.

I accidentally took two pills on day 13 of my pack of Gianvi. I thought it would be ok not to take one on day 14 since I took two on day 13. I resumed my normal schedule on day 15. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on day 17 of my pack (last night). Should I seek out emergency contraception? I have been on birth control pills since I was 17 (now 30). I did have a year break from the pill between Feb 2013 and Feb 2014 and it took my body 9 months to have a period. But I got back on the pill from Feb 2014 - forward.

I started my pack 2 days late, I then had sex without any other contraception. In the middle of the pack I missed a pill, and my boyfriend did not realise he couldnt come inside and I didnt know he did until after. So i got the morning after pill within an hour. However, I we did have sex again and I am not sure if he came inside. I am now on day 5 of my no pill stretch and still no period. I am very worried. I have been taking ovranette for over a year, is it possible I am just late?
