Hello Anonymous,
Did you receive radioactive iodine (radioiodine) therapy for thyroid cancer.?
If so, as your oncologist must have told you that when the radioactive iodine is taken into the body in liquid or capsule form, it concentrates in thyroid cells. The radiation can destroy the thyroid gland and any other cells, including the cancer cells, that take up iodine.
Talk with your doctor. Share how you are feeling and any symptoms you are experiencing post-treatment and ask what supplements are recommended.

Hello Anonymous,
I can understand that you want to do everything you can to help your daughter regain her strength. She needs to check with her physician before taking any supplements, either herbal or vitamin/mineral. Her physician will recommend any medication, such as a synthetic thyroid hormone, if necessary.
Your daughter is fortunate to have a loving mother like you to help her during this time. I send both of you, and your family, best wishes and prayers for a successful treatment and good recovery.
