I am a working professional, Indian origin and based in Mumbai.I had been through myomectomy in early 2014. I had lost significant weight and stayed that way for about 1.5 years.
Very recently, I have observed weight gain, highest I have ever been. I have no intention to go through check up and another surgery. Are there any tips that you have tried and tested out that you can share?

Hello being positive,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community.

Burning more calories than you consume is what helped me lose weight and keep it off.

A recent study of more than 22,000 African American women showed that women who consumed milk, cheese, ice cream, or other dairy products at least once a day were less likely to develop fibroids than were women who consumed dairy less frequently.

Studies have shown that compounds from green tea may inhibit the growth of fibroid cells.

Research suggests that some women try to reduce or prevent fibroids by avoiding processed foods such as commercial meat and egg products, which may contain hormones that spur fibroid growth.

Regards,
Maryann
