whats good to get rid of a super sore throat?

I've got a cold and my throat has been KILLING me. It's hard to swallow unless i take 3 different pills and 2 of them should last me through out the day........sadly they don't. they keep me going for about 3 hours and then stop working and i'm back to a sore throat. =(

Hi Anonymous,
Have you went to the doctor to be sure that you don't have Strep? If you do, you will need to get on anti-biotics. Please keep us updated.
