Why am I moody with my boyfriend when I don't want to be?

I am 18 and i am moody with my Boyfriend, this dosent happen all the time because i am very sweet when i want to be according too him. he is getting fed up off this and although i am not wanting to be moody it just happens and i cant control it, i am a happy person all the time when people see me like this it comes too a shock to them i want it to stop please can someone help me or tell me what it is i have.

Do you notice that you are more moody before your period? Do you notice a change in mood with any one else?

The simplest explanation can be PMS and changes in hormone levels. A more serious cause would be bipolar disorder or depression.
