I sometimes get this pain when im going to get my period, but im still days away from getting it. It just hurts really bad. Im concerned if that would have anything to do with kidney stones. I do drink water but just not that much. I dont really just want to hear " you should go to a doctor" i would please like an opinion.

Thanks!!

Hello Anonymous,

Any persistent pain that causes you to awaken from sleep must be evaluated by a physician. Lower right sided abdominal pain could ovarian or kidney stones, or nerve injury originating in your back and radiating to your lower abdomen.

If the pain is only subject to the right side I would say go to the doctor because that is a sign of a gallstone(s).

Hi Anonymous,

The presence of gallstones causes upper right sided abdominal pain.

This is usually something that happens every month a small cyst forms on your overy called a follicular cyst when this ruptures your cycle begins and you get your period a few days later. sometimes you can have other types of cysts that can form as well but if it is happening just before your period and it goes away within a day or two it's probably nothing to worry about talk to your doc to be sure don't worry they hear about this stuff all the time it's nothing they haven't heard from millions of other women. There are conditions like endometriosis that can cause major problems with your cycle and fertility if it is let go but that usually puts you in bed for a while as it is extremely painful...I am no doctor but I did work at a gynecologist office that specializes in these areas.........don't be afraid to talk to your doctor or even your school nurse there is nothing to be ashamed of

It doesn't matter if your period has started yet or not your body may be getting cysts anyway in preparation for your very soon to be period. Talk with your mother if possible or a trusted female adult and call your doctor if it gets too painful. But frankly, I think you will find your period beginning in the next 6 months, your body is getting ready so make sure you are prepared nothing worse then the unexpected happening at school or someplace equally embarrassing so be ready!

I came off the pill 3 months ago, I was on cerezette for 6 years and never had a period for 6 years, 3 weeks after coming off the pill I had a period and it was really heavy, as soon as I came off my pill like a week after I got a really bad sharp pain in my tummy (left side) at the bottom, I sometimes had bleeding during and after sex and sometimes it would really hurt after like a really bad tummy ache. The stabbing pain in my belly got really bad and I went to Meddoc who referred me to the hospital for a scan, I was given morphine but because I could still feel the pain they admitted me and I had a scan which was shown to have no cyst on my ovary they could see anything, I now have been referred to a gynaecologist who I'm waiting to see but I have came on my period again and the stabbing pain has got really bad again it's definitely not period pains, I'm scared I have endometriosis? Has anyone got any advice? I have been trying for a baby since I came off the pill 3 months ago and still nothing we have sex alot to try and concieve and no luck, I'm so scared I have endometriosis?

It only lasts a minute or so it happens especially after I eat. I'm pretty healthy for a teenager too. I can go to the bathroom fine I just don't know what could be wrong with me :(
