Painful intercourse is called dyspareunia. Please talk with your physician about this. Focusing treatment on the underlying cause can help eliminate or reduce the problem.

Usually, deep pain occurs with deep penetration and is worse with certain positions. Try switching positions and ask your partner to be less aggressive.

Endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine prolapse, retroverted uterus, uterine fibroids, cystitis, irritable bowel syndrome, hemorrhoids and ovarian cysts are conditions that can cause a woman to have pain during intercourse.
