I was sick tonight with stomach pain. I vomited later my bowel movement was colorless clear mucus. I have never heard of such a thing. What would cause it to be colorless

Guide

Hello. Thank you for posting.

The presence of mucus in stool is common. When you’re healthy, mucus is typically clear, which makes it difficult to notice. It may also appear white or yellow.

This type of mucus or an increase in mucus can be caused by irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal infection or a parasitic infection, among other things.

Should this happen again and/or you are not getting better, see your doctor.
