I agree that preventative health practices can reduce serious complications.
Adapting a lifestyle of maintaining a healthy weight, eating a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and reducing fatty foods, exercising, and getting at least an annual medical and dental check-up is a good start. Quit smoking helps.
