Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, but even though it's the biggest holiday of the year for chocolate, be careful not to over-indulge! In fact, if you are trying to eat healthy, and even lose a few pounds, it's okay to still have chocolate, but make it dark chocolate!
Forget the milk chocolate boxes and M&M's, dark chocolate is not only the healthiest, and full of good antioxidants, but it's the best for your heart! Plus, there are tons of sweet options you can have when it comes to dark chocolate, too! Ever had dark chocolate covered strawberries? They are divine! Don't be afraid to try it! I use to dislike dark chocolate, but once I found out about all the great benefits it does for your health, I started to like the taste even more, and I was hooked!
According to MedicalExpress.com, "Dark chocolate with a cocoa content of 70 percent or higher is rich in flavonoids, which help prevent the plaque buildup in the arteries. It also boosts the immune system and contains cancer-fighting enzymes." All those reasons sound like the perfect excuse for some dark chocolate!
Plus, what's better than being good to your heart on Valentine's Day? After all, it is the holiday for LOVE.

Of course not all chocolate is good for you but studies have shown that dark chocolate has healthy antioxidants that can be good for our hearts, and lowering chlorestorol. But by all means hope you have a great valentines day with chocolates or not :)
