It has been known that certain foods can act as aphrodisiacs to get you in the mood for a night of loving and even helps in becoming the sexy flirt you've always wanted to be.
Different foods are supposed to help you out in different "love departments". Seeing as there is not one true food item that can be considered THE mother of all aphrodisiacs, I have compiled a list of foods that each appears to participate in spicing up your sex life.
Need a little kick in the flirt department? Have Banana...Or a Carrot...or..chili peppers??
-Chili peppers. Spicy foods have a tendency to get the heart pumping and induce sweating.
-Bananas. Bananas contain chemicals that reportedly have a mood-lifting effect on the brain and raises self-confidence. Also considered an aphrodisiac in some cultures because of their phallic resemblance.
-Carrots. Their phallic appearance and high-fiber content may induce sexual desire.
If you are looking to seduce your partner tonight, try these foods:
-Shrimp. High in iodine, shrimp and other types of seafood are vital to the thyroid gland, which is vital for energy.
-Chocolate. Not only does chocolate provide a jolt of caffeine, it also contains phenylethylamine, and it helps that the plant has a flower that looks like sex organs.
-Ginger. This root reportedly increases blood flow to the genitals in both men and women.
-Olives. Green ones are believed to make men more virile, while black ones increase women's sex drive.
-Tomatoes. Known as "love apples" by Puritans, they have a reputation as a sexual stimulant.
-Apples. Since Adam and Eve, this fruit has been synonymous with temptation.
Oysters, which have long been known to be aphrodisiacs are actually very high in zinc, a mineral used in the production of testosterone.
This article was written in good fun. According to the FDA, there is no scientific proof that any over-the-counter aphrodisiacs or foods can treat sexual dysfunction. As a matter of fact, eat a bunch of chocolate with ginger and chili peppers and it is most likely to dampen your sexual desire.
But who knows, maybe a nice salad with olives, tomatoes, and an apple on the side will make you may feel a little friskier than you did before.
Bear in mind that our brain controls what we believe, if you believe oysters will turn you on, then they probably will.
