My story started with a trip to the ER in January 2012. I was simply getting ready one morning and my spasms started in my middle back. I couldn't breath without bracing myself so my husband got concerned, we called my doctor she said go in to the ER. Prior to this I started having headaches, back/shoulder pain on the left side, severe neck pain and weakness and nausea, probably from the terrible headaches that felt like migraines. After the trip to the ER, I was given every drug under the sun. I am a female only 130 lbs so most pain killers and muscle relaxers are too strong for me. And I am a stay home mom caring for a 5yr old. So being medicated was not an option. After episode after episode of being bed ridden with pain, nausea and headaches my general doctor sent me to a neurologists. He ordered MRI's on my neck and brain. Findings were arthritis in my neck. Nothing bad very minor. Wrote me a prescription for Physical Therapy. They turns out found me to have very poor posture due to my muscles all contorted. Further findings show I have had Torticollis probably since birth. I had terrible colic as a newborn. As a child I had limited range of motion in my shoulder and neck and could never do sports or dance. As an adult kept injuring or straining that same area with workouts or wieght training. Now I see why. Physical Therapy has taught me how to cope and stretch and realize I will not be able to do all I want with this shoulder neck. But at least I am a fun mom again and have my life back again. I cannot believe how sick it was making me physically. Take care of your body and now to pay off my medical bills. Worth every penny!
