Catherine explains how her life has altered since having LASIK corrective eye surgery.
Catherine:
Since I have had corrective eye surgery, or the LASIK, I am not even sure how to say it, to be honest with you. I think it is LASIK, part of my life has opened up. I don’t have to dedicate ten minutes every morning to cleaning my contacts; ten minutes every night before going to bed to clean my contacts. I have gained that back and that’s something you never get back first of all is time.
Secondly, good eye health, the fact that I don’t have to worry about corneal abrasions or, you know, how clean are the contacts or is the smoke going to bother me over there. If I want to tear up, I can tear up and rub my eye and I don’t have to worry about losing a contact.
It’s opened up a piece of my life and a time constraint that I really wasn’t aware of until it’s gone. It’s like having a burden removed. So, I really do consider it a blessing.
