Paula explains when she uses a chemotherapy port for her ovarian cancer treatment.

Paula:
As far as the ports go, I had a port put in before I started my first treatment. That was four years ago. When I had the mastectomies, they took the port out because I had asked them to. So when I relapsed, I had to have the port re-inserted, and they put in a different kind of port, and I had some kind of reaction to it. They had to take that one out. So I now have the third port, and that’s here on my on my chest.
