I am an active person and have had good health my entire life. In my mid-50's I was beginning to feel weight settle around my waist and a lack of energy. Was it due to menopause or the stage of life? Through friends I was introduced to Young Living Essential Oils and and attended some local workshops lead by scientists and certified aromatherapists. The first thing I learned was the diet pop was full of carcinogens and actually made you gain weight rather then lose weight. I immediately dumped that from my diet. I also learned that the quick frozen dinners cooked in a microwave was full of preservatives and contained non-food items with no nutritional value. The microwave changes the chemical composition of the food and even adds carcinogens from the plastic into the food. Yuck! I now cook my meals using organic ingredients and antibiotic-free and hormone-free meat. I ADDED into my diet Young Living's Ningxa Red juice, which is full of antioxidant wolfberries, whole fruits, agave, plus theraputic grade lemon& orange oils. It improves the immune system and protects against free radicals. I also started taking Inner Defense, Young Living's thieves oil blend in a capsule every day. It helps protect against viruses and bacterial illnesses. Since 2008 I have lost 20 lbs and have not been sick one day (I used to get pneumonia and bronchitis every winter, almost on schedule). I travel frequently by air and always came back from a trip with a bug. Not any more! I feel better than I did in my 40s and truly believe that going back to the tools Mother Nature gave us for nutrition and remedies for the body is the way to attain longevity. I ski, golf, hike, bike, have a full time career, assist my 90 year old mother in enjoying her active life, travel and manage two households. My goal is to share this information with others and help them change their lifestyles to allow them to attain good health in mid-life, so they can be healthy and active in their later years.
