Great great post Diane! I am someone who has had really high levels of cortisol show up in my blood work and I can attest to the truthfulness of everything you wrote. You really hit the nail on the head with this and I love your alarm clock analogy. Very very true. And you are correct too that by using some or all of these relaxation and coping techniques you can lower your cortisol levels. Isn't it amazing too the way this one natural substance in our body can have such an impact on all sorts of things?
