Unprotected sex, premature ejaculation, am i pregnant?

My boyfriend and I have both been tested and are clear of any STDs so and we promised to be faithful to each other (so far so good). Therefore we choose not to use condoms. Also I am on birth control (Monthly Everyday pill). However I recently had surgery and I was on antibiotics which in turn reduces the effectiveness of the pill. During this time my boyfriend admits to having ejaculated inside of me (supposedly out of his own control). Now I’m wondering if I could be pregnant.

My last period was the last week of September approx. the 22nd and it lastest for about 5-7 days. My surgery was on October 2nd. My boyfriend admits to the incident taking place the week after my surgery although he was unable to pin point an exact date. My assumption is that the premature ejaculation occurred somewhere between the 4th of October and the 12th. Now i am just wondering how possible the chance of me being pregnant is?

Please help any answer that u can provide to me is valuable

Thanks so much

Well i finally decided that the anticipation was killing me so i went to the local dollar store and bought two pregnancy tests. I took one as soon as i got around 6pm it was negative. i decided that i better wait and take another one in the morning because of the possibility of a false negative. The next morning i woke up and took the test right away it was also negative.

i hope im in the clear (laugh out loud) however i still have not recieved my period and i am now a week late. I am hoping that my period is just irregular because i had surgery and i was on antibiotics and my immune system was weakend.

So overall im still waiting for my period but as far as waiting for a baby i dont think that will happen for several years.

thanks so much for your advice and help

Bbyboo2u,

Thank you so much for writing back! I'm so happy to learn that you told your boyfriend and that it lifted a weight from your shoulders. And I love your mature attitude. I can tell that you will make a wonderful parent, whether it happens now or in the future.

You are also doing the right thing in just going on with your life and trying not to stress over it too much. You are right, stress and worry can delay a period even longer.

Please come back and let me know when you know something. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for your replay as of today im not late on my cycle yet, it should be coming today or at the latest tomorrow morning.

i have expressed my concern about the situation to my boyfriend. Which took alot of the weight off my shoulders because now he knows the situation and im not just keeping it to myself anymore. So thank you for that advice it was very helpful.

As of right now i'm just focusing on keeping myself busy, i know that if i worry and stress about this that it may delay my period even more. so im trying to not think about it too much.

i know that i can handle the responsibility physically and financially and im not scared about becoming a parent i have always wanted children just when the time was right and if this is gods time for me then so be it.

thanks again i will keep u posted if u care to know

Hi, bbboo2u,

The earliest signs of pregnancy do differ between women. I will say that the signs most report early tend to be tender breasts (the areolas, or circles around your nipples, may darken as well), the need to urinate more often, and nausea. However, most of these signs start showing up right around the time you would be expecting your period, so it's all pretty simultaneous. Some women simply "know" that they have conceived. Others have a feeling of bloating or fullness. Others have slight spotting, which may be a sign of an embryo implanting in the uterus. But some women don't have these symptoms and are surprised when they miss a period and find out they're pregnant. It's very individual.

The Mayo Clinic has a pretty thorough page about early symptoms of pregnancy:

Bbboo2u, I would like to encourage you to tell your boyfriend. Since the two of you are obviously very close, it seems like you should share this possibility. You are concerned; he should share that concern. You have to worry before you know anything; it seems only fair that, since he shares the responsibility for making birth control decisions, that he also should be aware of such things. He should wait with you for your period, and, like you, have that time to think about the "what ifs." That may make him more careful in the future if something similar is about to happen.

Good luck to you, I hope that your period comes right on time and doesn't stress you out too much. Please do write back and let us know what happens, OK?

Thank you so much for commenting me back this has been bothering me for quite some time now. It is very unfortunate that my boyfriend did not tell me about the incident right away, however i would never have done anything to try and terminate or stop a pregancy from happening. God has his plan for me and if this is it so be it.

Until i kno for sure I am taking the proper precautions as if i was having a baby. As of now i dont think that i feel any different and it makes it hard when your mind plays tricks on you and you get that feeling of "oh my god am i pregnant" I havent taken a test yet because i dont get paid until tomorrow and i didnt want to over react until i heard something back. Plus pregnancy tests arent cheap and if its too soon to tell i dont want to waste my money.

Now that i got feedback i can take the next step in figuring this whole thing out. I havent said anything to my boyfriend as of now because i dont want to scare him unless its necessary. He and i have had conversations about what would happen in a situation like this and we both know that we could and would do everything to make it work. We are both finacially steady and although we may be young we have enough love, intelligence, and money to take care of a child

If you have time, it would really help to know the earliest signs of pregnancy that most people dont know about. Anything that might trigger a clue or something. Not the usual signs that ive read on the internet a million times (laugh out loud). If i could possibly get the perspective of someone who has been through this and knows first hand it would be so helpful and great appreciated

thanks again so much
