I'm not a woman, but my long-time girlfriend who ive never cheated on and who has never cheated on me recently got some sores on her vaginal area, and she was quick to assume she had genital herpes. But recently we have both had exposure to impetigo, and I had sores on my face and nostrils, and recently had another sore on my lip and I am just hoping you can ease my mind with some helpful information, thankyou so much.

I feel that it is possible that she had it long before meeting him. Also, you can't check for herpes unless you have a break out to do a slide, correct? So he could have had it and it not be active in him when he was tested, correct. My husband and I both have herpes. We don't know if the fever blister on his mouth was transfered to me or an out break from a previous partner could have manifested itself long after we got together. Because we don't know exactly, we chalk it up to an unfortunate situation, we're careful and we love each other. No need in trying to find out where it originated from at this point if we are going to stay together after 30 years

well my gf jus got some tests and she has genital herpes well I was tested right before we got together an I was clean she just got an out break I believe her that she didn't have it before n not tell me cuz she's been with the same dr for years well did sbe cheat on me is my question?

First of all genital herpes does not have to be spread sexually.its spread through skin cells. Not body fluids it can also lie dormant until an outbreak and most doctors don't even test for herpes simplex until an outbreak of lesions actually occurs because they'd need fluid from the lesion to swab.

Yes my initial thought was that she would have contracted it during oral sex, because I have recently had the sores on my lip I am just unsure what these sores on my lip were, if they were the second coming of impetigo or if i contracted the cold sore virus from somewhere and passed it along, we have both been on antibiotics for impetigo in the past, but we have yet to see a doctor about all these new complications but we have an appointment to get some tests done tomorrow so hopefully we will know.
