Thanks for your question. Your period, and especially how heavy it is can be an indication of not being pregnant. If you need more reassurance, a pregnancy test from the drug store can ease your thoughts on it. Definitely medication and forgetting to take your pill can affect your period. Your period is always changing anyway. It can be light one month, heavy one month, short one month and last for a week another month. Even if you are regular, those irregular periods can pop up anytime.
Anytime you are on antibiotic, doctors typically recommend using back up birth control when you have sex (condom, spermicide, withdrawal, etc.) to be sure you don't get unwanted pregnancy.
