I had a miscarriage the week we moved to the KC area from Scottsdale, AZ. Pregnancy to me (apart from constantly being amazed by the process) was nine months of being uncomfortable, and anyone who tells you different is lying. The worst part of delivering our sons was the epidural/spinal block; I got a spinal headache from the block (look for a future article from me about that). I also suffered PPD, and have had "bad cells" removed from my cervix in the past. I do not have my wisdom teeth and lost one of my front teeth in an unfortunate beer bottle accident caused by a super soaker at a BBQ.
My Life
My greatest accomplishments to date are: my current marriage, being momma to 2 beautiful young boys, completing a triathlon and a marathon, starting a womens group with good friends, and graduating from college while supporting myself. I am a writer/editor and a music junkie at heart. I thrive on getting people together, and sharing good food and drink. I have a personal relationship with God. I like to be active, but like many have a love/hate relationship with my daily workouts. Ask me anything...you're bound to get an answer! And if I don't know, I'll find someone who does.
My Vision
I am always looking for opportunities for my voice to be heard, and connecting with like-minded women and those who support them in their relationships and living life to its fullest. I am excited to be a HerWriter, and helping EmpowHer in its mission of promoting strong women.
