14 days late

I am 36 and my bf and I have been trying to conceive for almost two years. I have endometriosis and was pregnant at 17. I have had surgery after surgery for them to remove the adhesions over the years. I have been experiencing stomach cramps almost everyday. I spotted three days in a row once a day but it wasn't like my period. It was light brown but that hasn't happened for a few days. My breasts have been soar and swollen but are starting to be tolerable. I want to be pregnant so bad and think its stress causing it not to come. I haven't took a test yet because I am afraid for it to say that I'm not pregnant and then I'll get my period. Should I be worried and how long should I wait??

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank for coming to us with your questions.

I can appreciate your eagerness to become pregnant and your reservations to take a pregnancy test. But, as you know, that is the only way to know. Guessing based on symptoms won't give you a true answer.

You can take an early response test as early as five days before your expected period. You could wait until your next period is late by at least one week and then test.

Best wishes,
Maryann
