I'm 39 and i'm 12 days late. 2 negative pregnancy tests and lots of nausea and indigestion even when I go to bed and as soon as I wake up.
I have an appointment until Nov 5th with a gynecologist. I thought it was for sure perimenopause, but now with the nausea...not so sure?
Would you help me with any info you have? any idea on what could this be? Thanks!

Hello sil144,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. It is reasonable that you would think perimenopause is the reason your period is late considering two negative pregnancy test results.

However, your complaint of nausea and indigestion, even at bedtime and upon waking, signal an issue with your gastrointestinal system. This needs to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist.

Indigestion and nausea are two symptoms of acid reflux disease, which is also referred to as GERD or gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is a very common digestive disease caused by stomach acid re fluxing or washing back up into your esophagus.

Regards,
Maryann

Thanks Maryann...I think the digestive issues were more of a virus that I got from my 5 y/o :(
Now I just don't have period, spotting, any type of pain, no sore boobs, nothing! It's just weird bcs I have never missed a period.
