I'm getting a lot of women asking me for hospitals, programs or clinics that help "women only" with addiction. Whether its sexual addiction, alcoholism, prescription drugs etc...

Thanks for your help. This will be so helpful to so many women searching for help.

The one I am most familiar with is the Betty Ford Center. I think their programs are rated higher than many in terms of success. Their focus is women primarily.

Michelle, there are many, many rehabilitation programs for women only. Even centers who help both sexes may have specific women-only programs.

Some women, for many reasons, want to be rehabilitated by female professionals, and surrounded by other women facing similar challenges. It may be due to sexual abuse or physical abuse, or they may prefer the companionship and sisterhood of other women. Some may prefer programs for women only because there is occasionally less distraction there than at unisex center.

The website, www.newliferecovery.net has a list of female only rehabilitation clinics. The direct link to the top women only clinics can be found here : http://www.newliferecovery.net/Womens_Alcohol_Drug_Rehab_Treatment.htm#

The rest of the site has a state-by-state list of clinics and what they specialize in.

I hope this helps.
