Anyone use Neurological Relief Center for Fibro relief?

My chiropractor is part of this group that advertises relief for Fibromyalgia. I have had the basic test done and had some immediate relief of headache and muscle pain. The test was like an accupressure kind-of-thing behind my jaw and at the base of my skull. The Dr. says it's not really accupressure. I haven't actually started treatment yet. There is a web site : stopfibro.net Thanks, Linda

Please go to my Facebook group and read about some of the people who got "scammed" and are now living with very little or no Fibro pain. Angry Jill, if you haven't tried the treatment yourself, why do you assume it is a scam? Can you in good conscience state for sure that it doesn't work? I have seen it work over and over. Dr. Paul's patients came from all over the world and therefor received no follow- up care. I believe this is a crucial step in maintaining their results. I KNOW that patients can stay well because that is what we are experiencing. Why don't you find a patient who recovered and ask them about their treatment and results personally?

You want to talk about scams?
Lyrica makes about one billion dollars a month. Look at newsblaze.com/story/20100715083901rose.nb/topstory.htm (Is Pfizer the BP of drug companies?) A study found that Lyrica causes some women to commit suicide but was suppressed by Lyrica. The patients I work with are usually only marginally helped by Lyrica and other drugs, since the cause of Fibro is never addressed, just numbed by drugs. These drugs cost about $300 per month after insurance covers it. They have horrible side effects, such as weight gain. Lyrica's use for Fibromyalgia is off- label, since it was designed as a seizure drug. Pfizer has landed in hot water before for their off-label marketing of drugs. This company is as evil as they come, but their drug is totally accepted by many in the fibro community as one of the only viable treatments for Fibromyalgia.

People are getting better with our technique. I am DETERMINED to help as many as I can. Please do not call something a scam unless you have better facts to back you up than what you have read online.

BTW, which religion does your M.D. practice? This is very important information, you know...

I think the best way to find out is to contact the doctor who tested you and ask about the initial cost and charge per treatment. The difficult part, I would guess, would be to estimate the treatment plan that you would need, after only one test. Most insurance companies still view this treatment as experimental, and if they cover it, may only cover it in part. That is only an educated guess on my part. Personally, our Fayetteville Arkansas chiropractic clinic does not participate in Medicare and are not in network with any insurance companies by choice. Many doctors are, however.
It is wonderful that you responded well to the test. Like I always tell people, at least that brings a glimmer of hope! Good luck to you on your journey to health. Like I said above, Fibromyalgia is a very difficult, painful condition that I do not wish upon anyone.

OK, I know that I can go to a chiropractor for a treatment session for neck pain and/or an ultrasound treatment for $40. I know I can use my insurance for any doctor visit and pay no-more than 20% of the visit. I can look up prices and ask for the prices at a doctor's and dentist's and chiropractor and acupuncturist and whatever, and get a price per treatment. So do you see the problem here? I can't get an idea of whether or not I can afford this process.

How much would it cost for a single office visit, single point, 15-minute treatment? I'm guessing that the visit is similar to the initial one.

I am thankful that the Neurologic Relief Center is working on helping those who suffer from this miserable condition. I can estimate costs for other treatment plans and would like an estimate of how much this option would cost. It frustrates me that I can't get an answer. Some people have posted their personal experiences AND I LOVE THAT, THANK YOU!!!! And many practitioners have posted comments AND I APPRECIATE THAT AS WELL.

Islassiter, sounds like you have found your story (excuse) to remain in the same condition and are sticking to it. Let me guess, I bet you still have not searched out a doctor and gotten the 'free' test. The problem isn't with the technique, research, funding, etc. If you were committed to getting rid of your condition, you would FIND away.

P.S.- most clinics are not free.

Yes, I got the free test. I am committed to getting better. I do not have unlimited resources to pour into treatment. I am a disabled veteran and living off a VA disability (but not specifically for fibromyalgia). I do have the diagnosis from a civilian board-certified Rheumatologist.

You sound angry about my questions and I apologize for causing you angst. I have stated that the free session was helpful. If I didn't want to find a way, I wouldn't have posted the question.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions.

While I think that the comment above may be a bit harsh, (can't we all just be nice and have open minded discussions?:) , I do agree that most (if not all) treatments are not free. The reason why no one has put a specific price tag on this treatment is because it depends on many different factors. Some of these include the state you live in, your doctor, the severity of your condition, and typically how well you respond in the first week. You can't, for instance, say: "breast cancer treatment costs $78 000." Why is it that no one ever questions the cost or efficacy of a drug like Lyrica (which, in my experience, makes you gain weight, feel awful and has very limited success)?
Not every treatment is right for every patient. This treatment IS, however, much more successful than any other treatment I have ever come across in my ten years of clinical experience, and it is not the typical "you have this for life, let's drug you" approach. I have patients who completed treatment as long ago as September last year, and who are still doing great (under wellness care), and now leading different lives. They are real, they were very sick, and I can put you in touch with some of them, should you ever be interested to learn more about this treatment.
I wish all of you much luck in your journey to health. Fibromyalgia is an awful, life-robbing condition.

I don't have the luxury of no-insurance supported treatments. I did get some relief from physical therapy and Neurontin. No one who advocates this continuing treatment has coughed up the price tag. That makes me suspicious.

Oops! I meant to say that it was my goal that every patient thought it was the best money they have ever spent. Just would like to also say that Lyrica is making BILLIONS and in my opinion, not helping much. One of my patients here locally paid $75 000 for neck surgery that helped her oh, maybe a little bit. She told me today that she wishes she could go back in time and save herself all that money. (Insurance wouldn't cover.) Maybe the cost depends on how you view it...

I have been using this procedure since September of last year. When I first learnt about it, I was so excited, and wanted to tell EVERYONE on the Internet. As a result, I was "roughed up" pretty bad on some sites! The truth is, from my heart, that this technique IS different. Yes, some people got the treatment initially, and didn't hold on to their results. Yes, you MUST keep up your maintenance adjustments. When I first started this in my office, it was my goal not to have every patient completing my treatment to tell me that it was the BEST money they have ever spent. So far, this has been the case.
Is it expensive? Yes. It is not chump change. You must take the decision to undergo this very, very seriously. Please ask for referrals and speak to patients that have completed the treatment. If nothing else, I have found that it is very good to be able to talk to others that UNDERSTAND that you are not crazy, and not looking for attention, and not lazy.
Some very reputable chiros have trained in this technique, for example, Dr. Pascal,(Google him!), who has worked extensively with many Olympic athletes.
I can introduce you to many people who are now leading better lives. It is not a cure all for every patient, but a lot of people are getting better. All the way better. I have met many of you guys undergoing this treatment, or in the maintenance phase of this treatment, in chat rooms through the months. I have built up a nice circle of fibro friends this way. Maybe I just sound like another doc with a dog in the hunt, but the truth is, unless you live in Northwest Arkansas, I will not benefit financially in any way, should you see another doc. I just think it is worth it, posting here, if even ONE person is curious enough to get the test. Even one.
I have a patient currently blogging about her treatment and results, ups and downs and all. She is married to a pharmacist, and has very severe fibro. If you are interested, you can track her progress. fibropurple.wordpress.com
Wishing you guys healing and blessings
Dr. Katinka
