Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community for a reason why you have not started your period.

Novynette is supplied in tablet containing 0.02 mg ethinylestradiol and 0.15 mg desogestrel used for the prevention of pregnancy and the reduction of symptoms of premenstrual syndrome.

It is taken once a day for 21 days beginning on first day of menstrual period. The 21 days pill is then followed by a 7-day break, until which a new course of 21 tablets is then started on the 8th day following the 7-day break.

Anonymous, I wonder if by not taking the pill as directed, that is start the new pack on day 8 not day 6, is the reason you have not started your period. Please contact your gynecologist's office today. Explain what you have been doing and what has happened. Let us know what you find out.

Regards,
Maryann
