Bleeding after I just finished my period. What is happening?

Hi Im a 17 year old girl who is confused about what is happening to me right now. Please help me and i really would appreciate a good detailed answer. Ok so my period just ended 4 days ago and 2 days after my period ended i had some brown blood in my underwear i thought it was just some leftover blood that got left out from my recent period. But after 1 day of what happened i have a watery discharge with a little bit of blood mixed in but it was mostly sticky clear discharge. Why is this happening? In so scared now because i fear that it is implantation bleeding and i might be pregnant. I am in a relationship but i am saving intercourse until marriage. Im a virgin but me and my bf do other things too but we dont go all the way. Is it possible to be pregnant with fingering, mutual masturbation, or oral. We are always very careful and he washes his hands before touching me if he touched himself before. But im just scared and confused. Am i pregnant? Can this be implantation bleeding?

Hello Anonymous,

Thank you for your question.

Is the bleeding moderate to heavy or spotting? Are you noticing the discharge only when you wipe or is there blood on your underwear?

By color, the discharge sounds like implantation bleeding. But, it is too early since you finished your period on October 11 and had unprotected intercourse three days later.

I cannot think of a cause. Consider calling your gynecologist or primary care physician.

Maryann

Hi, thank you so much for your quick reply.

The bleeding is not all day like having a period, but I would see it usually in the morning after I get my day started when I pee. I would see drops of pinkish color -into the toilet bowl- after I finish peeing. Then during the day my underwear would have the brownish color on it (so I ended up wearing a small pad) but when I go to pee during the day or evening, I would still see the pinkish color when I wipe. So the last time I told you that my bf and I had sex was Tuesday the 14th and I was bleeding (like how I described above) until around Thursday, but around Friday the pinkish was going away and I only had the brownish color left (so I thought maybe I was recovering). So yesterday (10/18) we decided to have sex again, and after we finished making love I went to pee and found that the pinkish drops are back! And for the rest of that day when I would go to the bathroom I would still see the pink when I wipe. I am wondering now is it because of us making love?
I will buy a pregnancy test today just to make sure.

Thanks,

TS

Hello Anonymous,

Thank you for your question. Have you been diagnosed with uterine fibroids? Heavy menstrual bleeding and prolonged menstrual periods, with menstrual bleeding lasting seven or more days are symptoms associate with uterine fibroids.

Considering that you are 46, it is possible that this change in your normal period pattern is the first sign of perimenopause. Fluctuations in estrogen levels cause menstrual irregularities.

Consider calling your gynecologist for professional medical advice.

Maryann

I just got off my period yesterday. There was no blood insight yesterday. I went to the bathroom 3xs yesterday, still no blood. I woke up this morning and there as a spot of blood, I didn't think nothing of it. I showered and put on clean clothes. Well about 10 mins ago, I went to use the bathroom and there was another blood spot. I wiped myself and the blood was a light pink color and I started panicking. It's not a big cramp but it feels like I'm about to start cramping. Can someone please tell me what's going on????

Take another pregnancy test. If it is positive like the others then go to your doctor. You already got positives before.
You could be miscarrying so go to the doctor to confirm your pregnancy.

Not necessarily. It could be a chemical pregnancy. An embryo hasn't started taking form yet. Your too early to feel something come out. You may see tiny clots or something and cramp some but nothing obvious. If you were around 8 to 12 weeks yeah you should see something.

Chemical pregnancy is a very early miscarriage that alot of times ho unnoticied if a woman is not paying attention to her body. Some think its just a period.
