It seems like every time after my husband and I have sex I have some kind of vaginal bleeding, rather it be spotting or bright red. Is this normal?

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your concern.

No. It is not normal for a woman to have vaginal bleeding following every time she has sexual intercourse.

This is something you must discuss with your gynecologist. When was the last time you had a pelvic exam and pap smear? I suggest you schedule an appointment.

In the meantime, please take a minute to read this article, "Reasons for Vaginal Bleeding After Sex".
