I had my period on the 19th of October and it stopped on 23rd of October.I had unprotected sex on the 29th October and took postinor 2.I had a protected sex on 30th October and did not take any pill.I started bleeding on the 3rd of November (that is 4 days after I took the pill) and the bleeding which was heavy lasted from 3rd November to 6th November.
1-Now my question is the bleeding I had on the 3rd of November to 6th of November to be considered as an early period or a vaginal bleeding caused by the postinor 2?

Hello Anon
Thank you for writing.
In general, this bleeding post-emergency contraception can be seen as a period. But since EC changes the next menstrual cycle so it can be anywhere from 2-4 weeks after. By December, you should be back to normal again. This is a common side effect of the medication.

Hello Susan,
Thank you for your reply.
I have still not seen my period yet,I have done a pregnancy test and it's negative.I am having the signs I usually have when am about to see my period like pimples on my face, heavy and painful nipple but the period has refused to come out and November is ending already.I am guessing the bleeding I had after taking the postinor 2 is my period for the month of November. What do you think?

Hello Anon
November 29, 2017 - 5:29amYour next period may be about four weeks from your last bleeding so that brings you into December. Your tests are negative meaning you are not pregnant. This is an unfortunate side effect of emergency birth control that can cause a lot of anxiety which is why I caution to only use it in a true emergency.
So you may still be a week or so out , in terms of your next period. It'll arrive, but when is unknown.
Best,
Susan
