My husband looks like he is 6 months pregnant, does this go along with this disease?

Hi Anon

Thanks for your post!

According to our Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis page:

Over time, the symptoms get worse. This makes daily activities difficult. People with IPF gradually start to have some or all of these symptoms:

Shortness of breath, at first only during or after physical activity, but later also when resting
Dry cough
Gradual weight loss
Fatigue
Clubbing (enlargement of the fingertips or sometimes the toes)

You can read a lot more on his condition here: http://www.empowher.com/condition/idiopathic-pulmonary-fibrosis

So bloating would not appear to be a symptom. However, his treatment may be causing it. What medications is he on? Is he on steroids? They may be a cause - have you checked with his doctor or pharmacist about any side effects his medication may cause? If so, I think it's a good idea to check it out.

Let me know what you think!
