I am a first day starter and missed the first pill of my pack (started a day late) I take Yaz. according to the pill pack, it says missing only one in the first week requires no back up protection. At the end of that first week (The day after the last day of withdrawal bleeding) I had unprotected sex, though my partner withdrew. On Tuesday and Wednesday (the sex was on sunday) I missed my pills, and doubled up on Thursday and Friday. What are the chances of pregancy?

Hello all, I was just wondering about something. I' am on the birth control Aviane-28 tablets. (Pill) I last took it Sunday and then had unprotected sex with my partner that night. It is Friday and I still have not taken the pill. I only got put on the pill because I would have cycles that were irregular and I want to have another baby. Could I have gotten pregnant?

As you know, birth control pills prevent pregnancy by preventing ovulation. You are most likely to become pregnant when you have unprotected intercourse five days before or on the day of ovulation.
I doubt you ovulated on the same day you stopped birth control.
Since you have not resumed taking the pills, your normal hormones should kick in to start the process of ovulation.
Should you miss your next period, then test for pregnancy.
With a history of irregular menstrual cycles, it may take a few months.
Always check with your gynecologist.

I have been taking birth control to regulate my period and was not sexually active for a while up until last week. Within 3 days after intercourse, I'm sure I threw up one pill from drinking a little too much, and I missed a dose. They say that sperm can still be present up to 5 days in a woman's body. Is there a possibility that I can be pregnant? Your help would be very much appreciated!! Thank you.

I missed the pill Friday (but I didn't realise)… my bf and I had unprotected sex on Sunday morning (I deffo took the pill Saturday morning, Sunday morning and 2 on Monday when I realised). I was spotting pretty heavily at the time of intercourse (pretty much on a period) but I'm still a tiny bit scared I could be a risk of being preggers. I'm on the cerazette pill.

I had unprotected sex on the 14th of August and I'm on the pill, but took the pill just before we had sex and on the 19th i started bleeding and still am and we are on the 2nd of sept, and today I'm due my period but iv still been bleeding up to it and still am bleeding! What is it? Implantation bleeding can hardly last 15 days????

This is not implantation bleeding. Please contact your gynecologist as soon as possible.
It is abnormal to be bleeding while taking the active pills and to bleed for 15 days.

Help! I took my pill Saturday. Had unprotected sex that day. Took my pill Sunday and Monday. Then forgot to take Tuesday and Wednesday. I took 3 pills Thursday. Am I at risk???
