Contraceptive pill

A few questions about the contraceptive pill.
I have aura migraines can I still take it or is there an alternative? When you stop taking it does your cycle go back to normal? Are there any disadvantages of it? & how effective is it if I also use a condom? Really do not want to get pregnant.

In general condoms will effectively prevent pregnancy as long as they do not come off, break or leak.
