Q:

Could I be pregnant?

I had sex with my husband on May 17 of this year. It was not protected. My period is a normal 28 day cycle. In May I started on the first. In June I did not start until the 9th. It was a weird period. 3 super light light LIGHT ( I cant stress enough how light ) and then 1 day of heavy bleeding. This month, I spotted for one day and have not had anything since then. I have never been pregnant and when my period was late for just I took 3 test 4 days apart. All were negative. Then again this was only about 2 weeks after the night we didn't use protection. I just don't know what to think. Any advice please!

Hi Mrs. Myers

You don't say how old you are, but yes, you could be pregnant. Usually you can take a test about a week after a missed period, depending on the brand. It could also be just a light period. As we age our cycles change a bit, so it could be something like that as well.

We get a lot of questions on this topic. Maybe the discussion will help you: https://www.empowher.com/condition/menstrual-cycle.
