I took plan b after unprotected sex with my husband 2 1/2 weeks ago, exaclty on my most fertile day (didnt realize that until later). Had possibly breakthrough bleeding one week after that, one week before my expected period. Now I'm 5 days late of my scheduled period and have been having minor cramping (which i rarely if ever get regularly) and slight nausea. Whenever I did have any cramping before AF it only lasted one day tops! Any imput as to what could be causeing the cramping?

No, the cramps stopped like a month after i took the pill. If i had my period there's no chance i can be pregnant right?

Hi I took a morning after day pill the same day I had sex with my husband and two weeks later I didn't had spotting or anything, my period should be coming on the tenth today is the 6th and this has been going on for 3 days now I feel nauseous and dizzy and super tired and my nipples hurt and small break milk came out I haven't breastfed for over a year now. I'm worried I'm might be pregnant or is it normal for that to happen ? When should I take the test? Me and my husband conceived my daughter when I was on birth control so I'm getting kind of worried please help?

Hello Maryann,

I had my periods on 3/3 and had sex with my boyfriend on 15/3 after 36 hours I took plan b but since that time, I have had cramps(now two weeks) up to now. I sometimes feel weak, lazy and muscle pull around my private parts. I am worried could it be early signs of pregnancy or something else.

Thank you

Hello Anonymous,

The only way to know whether or not the pill worked to prevent pregnancy is to wait for vaginal bleeding.

If you do not have any bleeding within the next week, which would be week 3, test for pregnancy.

Maryann

Girlfriend and I had unprotected sex I relseased outside and as a precaution she took a plan B pill within 24 hours she bled a little afterwards...that was April 13 after her period now she is one day away from her period and is experiencing cramps not mild but somewhat like she is on her period but no blood is coming. Any idea if she is pregnant or what is causing this?

Hello Anonymous,

Plan B can cause changes in the menstrual cycle. Her period is most likely late because of this side effect.

If she doesn't get her period at all, then she should take a home pregnancy test and call her gynecologist.

Maryann

Hello Anonymous,

Abdominal cramping is a side effect of Plan B.

I wouldn't worry that these are signs of early pregnancy just yet.

If you do not have any bleeding within three weeks of taking the pill, then test for pregnancy.

For the most accurate result, test in the morning. Use the urine when you wake up and first use the bathroom.

Regards,
Maryann

Hello,
I had sex without ejaculation on February 19th in the early morning hours. This was also the same day as my expected period. I was worried about the possibility of precum, so I took Plan B (about 9 hours later) on the 19th and within an hour, I ended up having a "period" for 7 days. The flow began lighter than usual, but increased during the peak of the week and decreased near the end of the week; I also noticed my cramping was more painful the first few days. I also tend to have my period for about a week. Since then I have not had any spotting or bleeding. My cycles have been around 27 days and will be expecting my period on March 18th. I have taken numerous pregnancy tests that have came back negative on March 16th and 14th. I wasn't sure if the bleeding counts as my period and if I should continue testing. I have not had signs of pregnancy (mood swings, tender breasts, morning sickness). I am not sure if this period that is coming up will be delayed either. Any help would be appreciated.
