so... my last two cycle lenghts were 36,34days. I have a very stressful schedule lately, but on october 24 i took a bath with my boyfriend and we had contact for a few seconds, until we realised it was not safe. Today my period should have started, but nothing seems to happen..... except I got white discharge. I know that, considering my last cycles, and the stress that affects me, this should be normal, but I have read that a normal cycle has 28-35 days. I am worried because I don't think it's ok for a cycle to be more than 35 days long, and also. .. 24 october was 9 days before my calculated fertile time, and... as nothing "serious" happened, I wanted to know... Should I be worried?

Hello Anonymous,
If your last two menstrual cycles were 36 days and 34 days, then this month's cycle of 35 days is not that abnormal for you.
Excessive stress can cause a delay in the start of a period. If you do not get your period within the next seven days, you could take a pregnancy test.

Hello again!
November 22, 2012 - 11:58pmWell... I am 2 days late and I am still worried...
I was wondering if you could tell me something about my symptoms... because I am starting to feel a bit nauseous and dizzy. Also, the white discarge seems to stop. Is it normal, what does it mean...?
I keep trying to do sit-ups and today I was thinking of making some parsley tea. Could this help?
I also wanted to ask... what's the risk if october 24 was the 8th day of my cycle and the calculated ovulation day was the 22nd day ? I did some maths and I think that even if the cycle was 28 days, there would still be 6 days between the 8th and 14th day... I don't know. I know that if I am stressed about this I only make it worse, but I am really scared. Please help

Hello Anonymous,
If you are that concerned about the length of your menstrual cycle, delay in the start of your period, and symptoms of nausea and dizziness, I suggest you schedule an appointment with your gynecologist.
Your concerns appear to be overwhelming you and negatively impacting you.
An evaluation by your doctor and discussing your concerns can eliminate this stress in your life.
