Last week I had my annual well women check up. My doctor found a lump on my left breast. she said the position is 3 clock. I had mammogram and ultrasound in two days later. The results are negetive.

Thank you for your question!

According to EmpowHER's medical expert, Dr. Harness explains the process of a woman finding a lump in her breast, having a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound performed, and then the next step (your question):

"Thirdly, and really importantly, a negative mammogram does not mean that you are okay. You may need to be referred on to a breast surgeon or you may need some sort of minimally invasive biopsy of that lump in your breast, but please remember that a negative mammogram does not rule out something bad in the breast." I am curious what your doctor recommended, as far as your next steps?
