Aagusdian - I've found multiple reviews of the product, some people have found it helpful while a skin professional said she had tested it and found it was very abrasive (rough) on skin and could cause damage. You want want to seek out some consumer reviews and study them carefully before trying this or any other product that you use on your skin. Pat

Hi Agusdian
I just spent some time searching dermatology sites, FDA approval, and beauty sites and could not find a definite answer to your question. Many of the sites seem to be paid to advertise this product. I do see reviews, some people liked it, some said it made their skin worse and discolored and they complained about the smell that comes from using Derma Wand, but I could not seem to find a medical site that says anything about it. We'll see if my colleagues here can help.
I assume with this many people using it, it's been approved for use. But how safe it is, I just don't know. Hopefully we can find more information and point you in the right direction. Thank you for writing and please check back for more comments.

I sought information from the company that sells DermaWand regarding whether or not it had FDA approval after noticing that I was developing more lip lines after I had started using the product. My concern was that though the DermaWand might provide for a temporary appearance of skin tightening right after using it, when discontinued for even a short time, the damage becomes clear by the appearance of more lines. I think it may actually be breaking down the skin fibers but that this isn't noticeable until after you stop using it. I contacted the company to question whether this product had been tested and received FDA approval. The answer was that because it wasn't a medication, that it wasn't required and the answer was no, it had not been approved by the FDA. It is not only medications that are tested by the FDA. Years ago certain air purifiers were removed from the market because they produced ozone and the levels had not been approved by the FDA. I would not recommend this product!
