Q:

Do you think it's likely that I'm pregnant?

My period has never been exactly regular, I've always been a few days off but then again I've never actually properly tracked my cycle. Anyway, I got my period on the 4th of December and today, January 7th, my period still hasn't come yet. I'm assuming my ovulation time was around the 18th of December but I had sex on one of the days from the 12-15th as well as the 22nd. My boyfriend and I used a condom and it didn't break nor did we find any holes (that are visible to the eye, at least...). He didn't come and he always had the condom on whenever he was near my genital area. A few days ago, my nipples were a little bit sore only if I touched them but now they are better and the only other symptom is that my period is late. A few months ago, I missed my period because I was stressed and then I had a pregnancy scare (kind of like now) and delayed my period even more. I can't get a test at the moment but at the same time, I can't stop thinking about it and it's stressing me out even more. Do you think it's likely that I'm pregnant?

Dear Anon,

Thank you for visiting the EmpowHER community and for sharing your question. It is probably just a delayed period and stress related. SInce you used condoms and even checked them for breakage, I am sure you are just fine.

Try to relax and just wait for mother nature to come. Try to get the home pregnancy test as soon as you can so that you can ease your mind.

Anon, I hope this helped!

Best,

Kristin

Thank you! I'm just a little paranoid especially because of the nipples but hopefully I can get a pregnancy test soon.
