Fingering and hpv

Ok so my boyfriend and I are both virgins and we both previously only kissed people and that's it. But he fingers me sometimes and recently there's been brown discharge after but only after he does that, no other time. I read online that you can get hpv from a finger to genital contact but is it possible for either of us to have hpv if both of us have only previously kissed someone and nothing else? The discharge does not have an odour and there's no discomfort at all the only abnormal thing is it's colour. I also read that planters warts can be a symptom of hpv and I have those but I've had them for a long time so I'm not sure if it's related. I'm pretty sure there's no way either one of us could have hpv from just kissing other people correct? Like I worry about everything so it's probably just me worrying again but I'm not sure what this discharge is and I want to know if it can be hpv. Thank you
