I had sex on the 14th day of my cycle and the condom broke so i took postinor2 the first tablet an hour later and the second dose 12hrs later. since i was at the peak of my cycle and i was ovulating what are the chances of Postinor 2 failing and me getting pregnant?
Thanx, any response will be highly welcome

Hailey,

Thanks for your question. Postinor claims to be 95% effective when taken within the first 24 hours. So, if you took the pills within 12 hours, your odds are good. You ovulating at the time of sex does not mean that you will get pregnant right away--or at all, even. Taking the postinor is supposed to prevent this from happening. Remember that the pill has nothing to prevent if you haven't ovulated, so if you were ovulating then this is when the pill kicks in to do its job.
Try to be patient and wait until your next period. Also, keep in mind that Morning After Pills have some side effects that can cause early or late menstruation and this does not mean you are pregnant. Just be patient and wait for your next period to arrive.

All the best,

Rosa
