Hello there, I am 21 and currently in the USMC; with that said, i do not see my husband as often but when i do we have rough sex. This time it was on what i believe to be the last day of my period. The next morning I got a blood clot, and spotted for one more day. This had never happened before so I am a bit freaked out. My period was not normal until I hit my 19. After then my period was some what normal I was finally able to know when I will be getting my period. I am a month late now and I thought hey I might be pregnant so I took a test and my result was negative. I have been bloated for about a week now, i'm getting massive head aches, fatigue is killing me, I feel tired all the time, and i'm actually having cramps this time,. I'm not much of a seek for a doctors help type of person, so I wanted to get an opinion before making myself look like a fool in front of an Obgyn. Is this normal? or should I be alerted?

Hi Anon and welcome to EmpowHER!

First, thanks for your service to your country. It's not easy serving in the Marines, and your work is much appreciated.

The symptoms that you have described - bloating, cramps, massive headaches, excessive fatigue - are definitely not normal. You need to see your OB/GYN and, while there, be sure that a CBC (Complete Blood Count) is ordered as part of the diagnostic process.

You will not look like a fool, you will look like a woman who looks after her own best health. We wish the best for you, will you please let us know what you learn?

Best regards,

Pam
