Having your period in two weeks after your first means what?

I got my period two weeks ago and now is on it. It never happened to me before and i'm quite concern about it. One of my friend told me to get it checked up but I wouldn't think it's such a big deal to do all of that. I would just like to know what it means.

Can you give us more information?

1. Are you using hormonal contraception (ie, birth control pills)?
2. What is your age (young teen, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, etc)
3. Can you describe your periods a little more, just if you are having any heavy bleeding for extensive amounts of time or other symtpoms?
4. Can you be more specific with the dates? What were the beginning dates (first day of bleeding) for your last 4-5 periods (if you remember).
