How can I tell when I started my period? I was bleeding for 5 days now started off light then heavy but only when wipe and now on the 5th day it's leaking....was the previous days counted as my period?

Our periods generally start off light, get heavier and end lightly. 

Some women count the first day of any kind of bleeding (light or heavy) as their first day. Others consider the first day of full bleeding to be their first day. Once you have any kind of flow, you are on your period.
